I have said "go potty" about 1000 times and she does not do it. I am trying to get her to go in tbe backyard so when I don't have the time to walk her she can just go out the doggy door. I would hope dogs don't get to a point where they won't go unless told to. I know of birds that have been trianed the same way and will only go when given the command. If the owner forgets the bird doesn't go. I've seen several have to go to the vet because of it. I’ve seen this method work for dogs but have had some concerns.
