You have a link on your website to Top Dawgs and I thought I would feed back to you about my experience of them.
In March 2008 I booked Top Dawgs to look after my cat over new year and I reconfirmed these dates in December.
When I returned from holiday it was to discover that my cat had not been visited the whole time I was away. She was starving, dehydrated, and if I had been away for any longer she would probably have been lucky to be alive. I have contacted Remi de Cou, the owner of Top Dawgs, by email and by telephone several times but she refuses to call me back. I did manage to speak to her one day last week. She got off the phone immediately and said she would call me back in five minutes but did not. She has subsequently refused to respond to further emails or telephone messages. She also has my house keys and has failed to return these despite my requests.
As an aside, the front page of Top Dawgs’ website carries a logo to a company called Mayhew Animal Home. This is an extract from an email they have sent me: “We do know about this lady and we are not connected with her in anyway, unfortunately we can only ask her to take our logo off her website which we have done in the past and she has ignored us. We will be getting in touch with her again about it. I’m glad to hear that you cat is now ok, and just so you know we wouldn’t want to be associated with anyone that would do that to an animal.”
I consider the lack of care for my cat to constitute animal cruelty and neglect as well as grossly misleading; the service I had booked was not provided at the risk of my cat’s survival. It is also a security risk as far as my keys are concerned. I cannot be the only person whose pet was neglected in this way. I wonder if you would consider removing Top Dawgs’ advertising link from your website?

I worked for this company Top Dawgs over xmas & new year 2008/2009 & cared for clients in South london.
Remi De Cou did not pay me a penny for the work i did & i am shocked to know that if she had taken care of those cats herself they probably would have been neglected.
This lady is known by police & should never be left in charge of any animals or homes, i am taking legal action so she is named & shamed.
So again please pull this website off the internet before other people spend their hard earned money & put their trust in the hands of a highly dubious & dishonest woman

I too had a similar experience, it doesnt take away from the fact that the designated cat sitter didn’t visit my cats on one of the days I had booked (Xmas eve which meant my two cats, one being a kitten, were left for 39 hours in total). It ruined my XMas, i fell out with my boyfriend and family as I dearly wanted to come home (some 270 miles) on Xmas eve and everyone fell out with me for insisting that I do. I had to trust that the cat sitted would actually undertake the remainder of her visits and I still paid Remi De Cou!
Cat sitting is a serious undertaking and responsibility.
I used TopDawgs over Xmas for a few days to cat sit my cat and Angie – who has posted above – was the one who sat for me. She was brilliant, it was short notice but she still came round the next day to get keys and dropped them off after. No complaints whatsoever but when i tried to contact Remi about paying for Angie’s services i got no reply, i tried once again but after that gave up. Then got a txt from Angie warning me about what happened with Remi so i am extremely glad i didnt pay Remi a penny and thankful that it was Angie who was doing the catsitting!
I too have been a TopDawgs customer over Xmas, and I too am extremely grateful that instead of finding a starving cat upon my return, I found a lovely message from Angie to reassure me that he had done fine during my absence. The only problem is that I had to pay Remi de Cou with a check in advance, and never thought in a million years she would have kept all the money for herself. After Angie told me what had happened I did a search on the internet and found this other link on yahoo answers, where a woman says (quote):

She resorts to threats, lies, extortion, and is a known “habitual malicious accuser”. So you hired an ex-convict to work in your home; she had the keys and access to your computers; everything you once held private.
This is not to undermine the honest and hard-working pet lovers that did their jobs properly.

Be very carefull. I would advise any of you to go to police instead of going after her on your own. My husband worked for her and knows her well. Go to the police near to where to she lives. Remi Decou, TopDawgs, London. Finally, I can believe all of this about this woman. I had to have the police go to her house and retrieve my dog after she refused to return it to me in August 2006. She was drunk or on drugs when we got to her home. She was extremely disheveled in appearance and demeanor, her behaviour suggested something very odd.

PS. I might add that after having to ask the police to retrieve my dog, I began receiving dozens of very late-night, early morning, “Hang-Up Calls” from blocked phones. I knew this person. I cannot beleive she’s finally been found out. You wouldn’t beleive the filth that poured from her gob. If you ever hired her, she had you all duped. Shes devious and completely immoral. when she moved out her house had to be fumigated, all the floorboards removed and hazmat cleaned. shes a disgusting filthy animal. Our kids were terrified of her.

When she left the odour was vile and colour of the floors and walls was disgusting. She is a very strange and possibly a deranged woman. Her behaviour was extremely odd. I too became a respondent of late-night hang up calls and threatening emails. I contacted the police, and landlord’s society about her.
To all that have posted comments here and that have written to me. Good news. The person that we’re all concerned about is now in public view. They may be abusive to you and threatening, but please do persevere. Ignore it, satirize the person, and it goes away. Trading Standards have been on to it since January but they are snail pace slow so I am not quitting with this plight until I see positive results.

My pet carers are carefully selected and go through a police check ( No they don’t, some are known criminals, as is she. I agree with your last line. I cannot care less about where she’s born, I don’t mind at all her being a prostitute (it’s none of my business anyway), I can only feel pity if she has problems with drugs or alcohol, but again that’s not to be judged by me. It’s the con and the mistreating of people and animals that I can’t bear, so I think that’s the point we should discuss, rather then satirize her way of living. Her being a former (or present) Prostitute, Madame, drug user and ex-convict; directly affect her credibility in her chosen profession. As a pet sitter and house sitter, she herself would have to pass a CBC. Not even the RSPCA will allow convicted persons to work with animals. And how could she possible be insured and bonded? So, the information is pertinent to this thread.
If a woman (or a man) chooses, to sell their bodies, that is their choice. But to some people, it is morally wrong and it is illegal in some countries. And being a Madame is only a pretty word for “Pimp”, and that is how she refers to her “Girls”, as “pieces of meat”. She is also a demonic sadist.
If the person involved here were decent, none of this would matter, but she is not decent. I don’t think you know this woman as well as others. The things that she says and does to some have been deplorable. It is documented !
Also, mental illness, drug and or alcohol abuse is no defence. If she is able to construct and maintain a website, several websites in fact; then she is quite capable of being held responsible for her actions.

We’re being far kinder to Miss Decou; then she’s ever been to anyone else. It would be so easy to blast her here. I used to be her friend. She had me convinced that there was someone stalking her. She made serious allegations against this person in the public domain, to the police and to the persons’ employer. She had me help try and track the person down. She made false calls to herself from a call box near the area where the person lived (she actually went to where she thought the person lived!) so that it would look like it was them ringing her. She sent herself threatening emails from a proxy-server.
She had herself, and me, so convinced, that we harassed this person for about 2-3 years, even after there was a report that they had committed suicide, she continued her harassment. And when she heard that they might have died, she said, “Good, that will teach them for f-cking with me, no one f-cks with me” She was so paranoid, she’d stay up all night, searching for anything written about herself, on-line, and freak out if there was any mention of her name. There never was. She did it all herself, creating dozens and dozens of user names on websites. And writing, literally thousands of posts, tens of thousands, in hindsight; it was chilling behaviour.
Then she got drunk and told me everything. It turned out that she’d never even met this person, only talked to them on the phone and had email correspondence. And the only thing they’d done to Remi ( in her own words) was to say one nasty thing to her, and warn her with legal action when they realized she wasn’t playing with a full deck. When I asked her more about it, it all came out. She claimed the person called her a bitch, as simple as that (after she’d been harassing them) that’s all it took for her to go on a 3 year rampage. Not threatened, simply warned her off. I felt so guilty, that I turned myself into the police, and told them everything she and I have done. I’ve also written to the persons family (though the police) and given them any help that I can.
So for those of you, whom have written things on this page, I’m giving you advice, watch out.

I’m horrified by the comments on this website. I too booked Remi to look after my cat, for which she failed to turn up, took the money and has my house keys, not answering phone calls /emails / texts. I’ve contacted the police and also reported her to the RSPCA, giving them this site as info that it’s not an isolated case. She shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it. I’ve put this link on the front review page on Google, so hopefully more people will see it and not use her so-called ‘service’ risking their pet’s lives.

I met this woman, when she arrived at our home to “Inspect” it…When we openned the door, she said to us “What, did you expect me to be white because of my accent”…and we said “no” (we had no expectations of any colour) but what we didn’t expect was a freakish weirdo with bizarre nail and hair extensions. You could also contact your local trading standards and direct.gov.uk for advice on breach of contract. The more places we complain about her to, the better.

I used to work for her and confirm that most of whats written above is true. shes reasonbly smart comes accross that way when shes sober….she ended up acting spastic with me and some other people and not paying us so we stoped working for her and she just kept sending us nasty eamils, txts and ringing us. she was demanding and bossy and had a really bad and mean temper. i know some weird things she did at peoples homes while they were away.

I too received a constant stream of abusive phone calls from her last night and if you were to read my previous thread it’s actually probably the tamest on here given how distrssed I was at the time and also given that I actually still paid the woman after they (her and the cat sitter) had slipped up.
Lines such as “I know where you work” and “you evil f**king c*nt” kept drooling out of her mouth over and over as she was clearly very drunk or high. Dogs were barking constantly in the background sounding very distressed (I should know as I used to volunteer for the RSPCA and Cat Protection League!).
I pity this woman and heaven help her if she does anything like this again to me. We too, also have her address.
I’d like to point out to all those people who completed her forms, if you gave her your house alarm codes change them if you havent already! Just a thought.
Lesson to us all, next time, meet the person, check their relevant business documents and insurance certificates.

Yes, the threats have begun. She won’t disappear, not for ages. She goes through manic cycles and when she drinks, she gets really bonkers. Then when she’s hung-over, she becomes incredibly paranoid and still bonkers. She will blame each and every one here for the disaster that her life is. But she is not deserving of any pity. Don’t for a minute think that she will change, apologise, or forgive any of you for “ruining” her life and business. I warned you all here when this thread started.
If she isn’t emailing anyone, and her sites were down, it’s because she probably had to move and or change her ISP. The problem is that because she may (or may not) have mental health problems, the police and courts will take pity on her, and she knows this, she sees herself as the victim. But like so many other criminals, not all are crazy; some just like doing what they do.

This person is my neighbour. We heard her shrieking on the phone the past few weeks and over-heard some of the conversation, talking about websites and Google, so we Googled her name. We already had suspicions about her because of her strange behaviour; we can confirm that she is an absolute, alleged, lunatic. We add that for legal reasons and the fact that she may just like behaving the way that she (He) does. Does that make a person crazy? Or, do they just like doing what they’re doing?
We weren’t quite certain if it was a man in drag (no problem with that) or a woman-to-man cross gender, or a (man-to-woman) and we have no problem with that either. But what we do have a problem with is their (because dependant upon the day, it seems like different people) so we refer to “her/him” as “Them”.
The dogs bark non-stop, She yells and screams like there’s a fire, at all times of day and night. And there are always people knocking on our door asking for information about her/him, and always with different versions of their name. Remi De coo/ Remi Decou, Remi De Decou / Remy Decoo Remy De coo. It goes on and on. We’re sick of it and to her ( him ) if you’re reading this; the entire neighbourhood knows about you…..so….Stay away from the kids !

To the unfortunate neighbours, does Remi’s landlord know that they won’t get their rent paid regularly or even at all, they should be warned!
Also you should complain to your landlord about the noise, properly trained dogs do not bark incessantly or s**t in their home.

Interesting to read all the comments since my last about 10 days ago when I was the victim of abuse from Remi.
Has anyone realised that if she rents her property, how can she legally run a business from it if it is residential? I used to be a Manager for a well known estate agents lettings side of the business!
I wish I could assist with the RSPCA Claim, the more information they have the better but she effectively did nothing wrong to my animals, it was the pet sitter herself that failed to turn up on the agree dates/times and Remi was actually very apologetic at the time. Regardless of whom was “meant to show up”; it was her responsibility to ensure that the animals were looked after, that the staff were properly trained and screened. That they were paid by her; and that the keys were returned to the client in a prompt and professional fashion.

Tracking people’s ID to website viewing and then publishing, I’m pretty sure, is against DPA and actually isn’t accurate, so as much as somebody may think that they are targeting another with actions, it’s generally not possible.
This site would not be possible for anyone other than the domain provider to track, unless an illegal hack was put in place.

Just in case anybody was wondering how sites are recognising what company is logging on, there are IP tracing sites available e.g.

I think this is the kind of thing that is being used. It will say who the ISP is e.g AT&T or the name of the company ‘Ford.com’, and it will give the location e.g. London, but it does not identify the name of the person unless you have set yourself up as a company name that your IP address is registered to.

I used this company years ago, but wasn’t too happy with the service and recently looked for another to look after my flat while I’m away. I took a quick look at her’s just to see if she was still in business.
When they were at my place, I said they could watch TV, eat what was in the fridge, but not to use my computer, and they did.
I had key-stroke logger software installed on it. I found all sorts of bizarre information. Strange websites, multiple email addresses (and the passwords) abusive emails written to people. I never did anything about it at the time, I was traveling a lot for work and didn’t want to get involved
But now, in light of the behaviour I see on her websites, I think you are all going to need help. I’m going to call the police and ask them to take the computer away, it’s been in a cupboard since then. I’ve printed out all the information too.
Now I just need to think of a way to get it to those that need it, without her getting her hands on it. I’m not too good at this sort of thing.
Some of the stuff goes back 3-4 years when I last used the services, but it’s incriminating.
You say you need to get the info to those people who need it. Can I suggest:
1. Visit remidecou.blogspot.com and get the name of the detective that she refers to who is investigating the complaint against her from the poor people who had the misfortune to be her neighbours. You might also want to refer him to this webpage. We should highlight to the police all examples of her ‘business practice.’
2. Some people on this page have given their email addresses – they may well be in touch with the police. If you contact them (which means you preserve your anonymity on this page)they can cross reference what she did to you with the police which will strengthen the case against her
3. When you contact the police, refer them to the detective who is trying to contact her re her claims against the people in Frinton Road.

I’ll do it another way. Nothing sinister, just simply having the computer collected. The information will only help corroborate her behaviour, but otherwise is quite old. It just shows a pattern of abuse and evidence of the way she harasses people.
Although there is some really, strange stuff on it, “freefallgal”. Writing and receiving email on someone else’s computer wasn’t such a good idea was it? Monitoring your own websites and using proxy servers?
The thing I don’t get is, every business has it’s problems and if she were to simply apologize, or make amends, it wouldn’t be an issue. But to handle it the way she does, is just odd.

This site was brought to my attention by Remi a few days ago when she responded to an email I had sent her 3 weeks ago. Remi de Cou last looked after my Cocker Spaniel Cazter, 3 years ago on a regular basis between September 2006 and June 2007 when I returned to New Mexico and now in Maryland. I have recently gotten engaged and will be returning to live in London and wanted to know if Remi was still available. She replied that she would be able to take Caz as of November if not she was able to recommend two other pet sitting companies.
I will be getting married later this month in Virginia and returning to London in December. In the past I have always been able to rely on her and she has always taken good care of Caz. Her passion for dogs is obvious.
According to our email exchanges, she has stated that there is one client here that has a good reason to complain as she was unable to honor her agreement due to what she was going through with her neighbours and the aftermath. Unfortunately for this one client who has a valid grievance this site has been hijacked by anonymous people with only one intent and that is to hurt her business, reputation and her personally, which I’m sure is obvious to anyone coming across it for the first time.
I have no problems leaving Caz with her if she feels she is up to looking after him again.
