We are having poshies soon. I never heard of the breed, but our pure bred sheltie got with the pure bred pom next door. Can we sell the puppies or are they just give aways. To good homes, of course!

I’m looking for a Poshie!!! I have been looking for the right kinda dog for me. My step mom was a collie breeder and had a couple Shelties also I loved the temperment with them and I totally adore the little Palmerains that my cousin is breeding. I’m looking for a unique buddy and this is what I have my heart set on! Please email me at tammiemerrell@yahoo.com

i have a poshie, im in love with him! beautiful dog and very well mannered. he’s currently almost 6 months old

I have a rescue Poshie. She was about 4 years old when we got her. She is very smart, calm, loyal, and sociable. Despite all that hair we would get another Poshie, especially if our dog’s temperment is indicative of this bizarre cross breed.

Hi, I’m looking for a Poshie to adopt if anyone can give me info please email me at daociskewliez@hotmail.com

I rescued a Poshie for the RSPCA, he was 18 months when we got him and now he’s almost 12 years.

They are great dogs and really smart too. Basically everything that Catherine has already said.

Back then we never knew that our pound mutt was as designer breed.

I, too, am looking for a Poshie. I had one once and absolutely loved him. I miss him and want another.

I’m located in Denver, Colorado. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I have a poshie, her name is daisy. I paid $100 for her even though she is a cross breed just because they seem to be so rare. She is a very smart loving dog with a PERFECT temperment. So calm and loving. She’s awsome. PLUS she is soooooo soft…you get half the fur of the pom but all the silkiness…love it!

I just got a new poshie and he is awesome! If anyone is looking for one and willing to have him/her shipped the lady I got mine from has more. She is in Pensacola Florida and they include the CKC designer breed papers with them too. I believe they are $50 a puppy and are just now 5 months old.

I’m looking to buy a poshie pup for graduation. I will be moving out and it would be great to have a companion. Graduation is May 24, 2009. It would be great if I could have a small girl. I really like the lighter color ones, such as sable. If you know of anyone it would be great to hear!

We just got a small female Poshie this week. She is the cutest puupy I have ever seen! She is 8 weeks old and is already going to the bathroom outside. She is very playful and bold.

In the above comment I am reading from Kathy, PLEASE write me anyone who wants, we were just reading of his 461 dogs, UNSATISFACTORY kennel inspection, he is a licensed puppy mill and how many puppy mills are in PA. He has over 28 breeds and 55 UN-QUALITY puppies listed on puppyfind! Also the articles about puppy mills and debarking with pipes and hammers to break their larnyx, their is NO quality or type being bred here only adults breed repeatedly every 6 months until they are used out. People need to NOT buy from something or someone like this to keep encouraging them to breed!! WHAT A SHAME and SIN.

    Laurie,
I paid $500 for my beautiful Poshie, Dreifuss. Poshies are considered a designer breed and are DEFINITELY NOT GIVEAWAYS! Depending on the colors, appearance, and intelligence of the parents and pups, you can determine an appropriate price. Also, take a look at what Pom and Sheltie pups are selling for ;-) Good luck! If you’re curious, have a look at the website I’m building (still in progress) about my Poshie, Dreifuss.

I am looking for a pup, and came across Martin’s Double Kennel in PA. Puppy Mill? How do you know? victoriaszz@yahoo.com

  30. on 18 Oct 2009 at 7:30 am Kathy

I read a comment made about Martins Double E Kennel from Maria which states that Martins have unsatisfactory inspections. I went on to PA Agriculture website and looked at all of their inspection reports from 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 and their was NOT one unsatisfactory mark. Yes they have a lot of puppies but please don’t make a comment that can not be backed up by the State of Pennsylania own website. Here is my backup, just type in Martins in Millmont, PA

    Hi Everyone!

We have a beautiful Poshie female we plan to breed to our AKC Sheltie male in the next couple months (when she says the time is right). She is gorgeous and tiny (7″ and 6 lbs) and our male is considered a toy sheltie (12″ and 11 lbs), they should produce some gorgeous tiny poshies! Check out my website to see pictures of both of them and to ask to be put on our Waiting List for Poshie puppies! http://www.foxpointfarm.com or email me charlottec@comporium.net

    Thanks,
    Charlotte

    Hi All

Just to put your mind to ease. Martins Double E in Millmont has just opened a huge new facility for their dogs and puppies.

In order for them to stay in business, they have to follow not only state guidelines but also federal.

We are getting 4 puppies, Boston Bichons from them here in the next two weeks.

I rescued a poshie about 6months ago. My friend found a litter of them just born in a dumpster. I had no idea what kind of dog he was, I just knew I loved him. The more he grew, and the longer I looked at him it came to me what he was mixed with. So I started looking online and found out I have a poshie lol. He is a wonderful dog, extreamly easy to house break and train. He gets along great with my 1year old bischon mix who is also a rescue. They can not stand to be apart. I recomend a poshie to anyone. They are very high energy. I’m getting mine into agility, he is the perfect dog for it!

I am scheduled to purchase a puppy from Martins Double E Kennel in 3 weeks. When I showed a coworker there website she became suspicious that it is a puppy mill. Can anyone help me?

  36. on 23 Jun 2010 at 8:49 am April

Hey there, I wanted to set something straight here. I have looked deeply into Martin’s Double E Kennel and whether or not they are a traditional puppy mill. While they do produce lots of puppies there, after having called their vet and talking with her extensively and talking with their web manager and the owner herself, I feel very confident that whoever wrote the nasty post about them breaking dog parts with hammers is way off the mark and should be ashamed of him/herself. Please get your details straight before you blast random kind-hearted folks.

    Thanks!

    Dorene,

In my humble opinion, and having never actually seen the facility, I did look at the past 4 years of inspections, called their vet and spoke with another who absolutely adores The Martin Family. Erla cares more than anything for her puppies. A few big indications of mills: no parents on site; not willing to take the dogs back if for some reason the new owners cannot keep them; unclean facility, etc. We are buying from The Martin’s at the end of July. I have looked into them as much as one human can and have found nothing…expect a true love of dogs. Parents are on the property and can be met (and the vet said they bark plenty ;) , they are willing to take their dogs back if something comes up and they pass with flying colors on inspections. So, although you neighbor surely has her heart in the right place, I say go for it, without hesitation. Let us know what you get. :)

  38. on 17 Feb 2011 at 11:38 am Linda

Dorene, you are right. Erla cares for these pups and will go out of the way to make sure you are satisfied.

For those who believe this is a puppy mill, all you need to do is visit the facility to find out that it is far from this.

The facility is new, state of the art, it has a climate control and the Vet that I use visits the kennel frequently to make sure the pups are in healthy.

She has both state and federal licensings required to run this facility.

I would recommend them to anyone.

The Martin’s Double E Kennel may have a new building, but I’ve read (on inspection websites) they have up to almost 500 breeders and the dogs NEVER see the light of day, nor do they ever exercise or go outside.

Their excuse: it would be against the law to have the dogs make noise outside.

Agree on that one – I’m sure the neighbors wouldn’t be thrilled, but nevertheless is it ok that these dogs live in a cage and never exercise for life?

Anyone that wants to breed that many dogs doesn’t deserve to be in business, period. There is no way any of them get attention and live in a humane situation.

  43. on 11 Apr 2012 at 10:41 am Alison

My shih tzu is from Martins’ double e kennel. They most certainly let the dogs outside. I was supposed to take a coton de tuleur but he wqs much bigger than i though, so i took a shih tzu from the playpen outside. Erla had newborn puppies in a box in her kitchen under a heat lamp cuz the mother had complications during birth and was rushed to the vet.
I was in her home, I spent over an hour with her, chatting and deciding.
Yes the dogs live in cages, but they get outside and are treated well.My shih tzu is almost 3 and he is the BEST dog I eve had. Health and temeperment wise.
